This simple habit will help you become a better photographer

As with any creative pursuit, the road to becoming a better photographer is never easy. However, there are things you can do to make each day you shoot a step closer to getting better photos. For example, simply showing up everyday with your camera and taking even a single photo.

In the video above, Teo Crawford encourages us to make photography a habit, if it isn’t yet. This simple act of having a camera with us all the time, he believes, can massively improve our photography. By training our eyes to find value and stories even in the mundane of the everyday, we increase our chances of noticing meaningful moments that others might miss.

To explore the topic further, Crawford also invited fellow film photographer Florian Hasubick to share his thoughts on what motivates him to document his daily life with a camera in hand. “We humans are just so good, I guess, at missing what is right in front of us. There are so many opportunities, they just have to be noticed,” Hasubick poignantly added.

Did these insights motivate you to make photography a habit and be on your way to become a better photographer? Do you think this is a realistic endeavor for you? Share your thoughts in the comments below, let’s start a discussion?
