Just a few days ago, we did a listicle on the best 24MP cameras, which you guys seemed to have loved. So, we thought of looking at the different resolutions of fullf rame sensors, which can be ideal for photographers from varied backgrounds. Today, we look at the 40MP to 45MP range of cameras, some of which are designed particularly for the purpose of fast-paced shooting. If you are a professional who requires something in this range, then do look a the given options for your needs. Perhaps you will find something you are looking for.
Sony A7R III
The Sony a7R series is spectacular for photographers, and the a7R III is no different. The device has a 42.4 MP back-illuminated Exmor CMOS sensor, a burst rate of 10fps, 399 phase-detection AF, and 5-axis image stabilisation. In addition, you get 4K video recording capability, weather sealing, and a 1,440,000-dot LCD. Some of the things you will like about the camera are the RAW file versatility, the autofocus, ergonomics, and fast shooting abilities. The built quality, battery life, and image quality complement each other, too.
Nikon Z8
The Nikon Z8 is a mini Z9. What does that mean? The Z8 has a 45.7MP stacked CMOS sensor and EXPEED 7 image process. There is also a continuous shooting speed of 120fps, 14-bit RAW, 8K/60p video recording capability, and 493-point phase-detection AF points. For low-light shoots, you also get illuminated buttons. The camera features a 3.69-m-dot OLED panel and a 2.1-m-dot LCD. You will love the viewfinder, the high ISO images, and the great portraits that the device takes. There is also weather sealing and the ergonomics that will entice many sports, wedding, and event photographers.
Canon EOS R5 II

The R5 II takes a lot from its predecessors and improves them. There is a 45MP stacked CMOS sensor, as well as a DIGIC X processor and a DIGIC Accelerator co-processor. The camera also boasts a 30fps burst rate shooting, 8K/60fps video recording, a 5.76m-dot EVF, 1053 AF points, and a 5-axis image stabilization system. The weather resistance is great; it can focus on people of color after the firmware update, the images are punchy, and the menus are easy to use. Overall, the R5 II is one of the cameras best suited to hybrid creators.
Panasonic S1R II

The Panasonic S1R II is the latest addition to the 40MP range of cameras. The device has a 44.3MP sensor, Leica 2 engine, ISO up to 51200, 39 real-time LUTs, and AFC mode up to 40fps of burst shooting. You also get 8 stops of image stabilisation, 779 AF points, a 5760K OLED viewfinder, multiple exposure modes, and a mechanical shutter rating of 400,000. The shutter protects the sensor, you can work with third-party flash, the AF locks on to people faster, and you get cinematic images, thanks to the LUT. As we said in our review, “I’ve got to be incredibly frank here: the Panasonic LUMIX S1R II is seriously one of my favorite cameras of the year. It puts photographers and still photography front and center. On top of that, it gives you lots of controls that make the shooting experience pretty simple for you overall.”
