Viltrox has multiple lenses for varied mounts, from fast focusing wide-angle primes to telephoto lenses. To add to its vast portfolio, the company introduces two new exciting lenses, each offering a wide aperture, which many photographers will appreciate: 9mm f2.8 Air and 14mm f4 Air. These focal ranges are perfect for various genres, including architecture and portraits. But what do they offer? Here is a quick look at their features.
The Viltrox 9mm f2.8 and 14mm f4 have autofocus and are designed for Sony E and Nikon Z cameras. The 9mm is also available for the Fujifilm XF APS-C lens. Here’s what the specs say:

Both lenses are ideal for architecture, landscape, astrophotography, and street photography. In fact, the f2.8 aperture ensures that the lens works in challenging situations such as low light. As for the 14mm f4, we had hoped the company would have given a slightly brighter aperture, like f1.8, as seen in Sony. However, the latter’s version costs a lot and is also far heavier than the Viltrox version. As of 9mm, there is no such lens variation in Sony or Nikon cameras. There is, however, an 8mm f3.5 lens in the Fujifilm X series mount, which costs $869. In that regard, Viltrox lenses are perfect for anyone looking for budget variants.
Viltrox lenses have great performance. For instance, models like the 35mm f1.2 FE LAB and the 28mm f4.5 have both produced colorful images; they are small, and the autofocus is great. As we said in the review of the 28mm, “The Viltrox 28mm f4.5 adds softness, lens flares, blows out highlights, etc. And when you combine it with a nice, warm, white balance, you find that the images deliver the feeling of a cool glass of water you didn’t know you needed.” So, if you are looking for ultra-wide-angle lenses, then Viltrox’s option is great. There is a 9mm by 7Artisans, but the lens costs $409, and the aperture is f5.6.
