Skylum has rolled out a new Spring Luminar Neo update. The company’s flagship photo editing software now includes several AI-driven enhancements designed to streamline editing, boost performance, and expand creative options for photographers of all levels.
Auto Adjust Adds One-Click Image Correction
The standout feature in this update is Auto Adjust, now integrated into the Develop / Develop RAW toolset. This tool leverages artificial intelligence to automatically balance exposure, light and shadows, and black-and-white levels. According to Skylum, it’s meant to deliver optimal visual results with minimal manual tweaking. However, the feature is limited to Pro subscribers and Upgrade Pass holders.

Catalog Cache Cleaning Optimizes Performance
To address performance concerns raised by users, the update introduces a Catalog Cache Cleaning feature. Found in the Preferences menu, this tool helps clear temporary cache files created while working with large catalogs. The company says this should significantly improve the application’s speed and responsiveness.

Atmosphere AI Gets Realistic Fog Effects
The Atmosphere AI tool also sees a significant improvement. The update enhances the tool’s fog creation effect, making it more natural and immersive. Skylum notes that the refined Depth Models provide users with greater realism and artistic control, particularly useful for moody landscape shots.

Another key change comes with the redesigned export menu. The updated interface now allows users to fine-tune settings like format, quality, resolution, size, and file naming. A new export option, DNG format, has also been added to make file preparation for printing easier and more flexible.

Luminar Neo Update Availability and Pricing
All the new features, except Auto Adjust, are available to all Luminar Neo users starting today at no extra cost. Pro features, such as Auto Adjust, are limited to users with active subscriptions or those who buy the Upgrade Pass. Luminar Neo update is available through Skylum’s website, and you can also get the software with the latest features at the Microsoft Store and Apple Mac App Store.
