This summer, New York City will again become the gathering place for photographers, filmmakers, and creators. The Bild Expo 2025, hosted by B&H, is set for June 17–18 at the Javits Center, and it promises two full days packed with hands-on experiences, learning opportunities, and creative energy.
Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just getting started in photography or video, the Bild Expo is free to attend and is open to everyone with a passion for visual storytelling.
What is Bild like to attend?
Bild is like a giant creative lab where you can try new techniques, test the latest gear, and meet others who share your interests. You’re not just watching presentations, you’re actively participating.
At over 250 booths, major brands in photography and videography will let you get hands-on with cameras, lenses, lighting setups, and editing tools. You can actually shoot, tweak settings, and ask questions directly to the experts.

What really sets Bild apart is how immersive it is. At the Lighting Experience area, for example, you can practice with professional lighting setups. There’s also a Macro Exploration zone where you get close to the tiny details that make for stunning photos.
If you need to sharpen your post-production skills then check out the Photo Editing Excellence sessions or the Video & Audio Editing Mastery workshops. You’ll learn editing techniques using top-tier software, guided by people who use them every day on the job. There’s also a full Audio Experience section for those into podcasting, music production, or spatial sound design.
Walk, Shoot, and Explore NYC
Beyond the convention centre’s walls, Photo Walks will take groups of attendees out into the city. These walks are led by industry professionals and are a great chance to shoot NYC’s streets, architecture, and people while learning tips and tricks from top photographers.
If you’re into nighttime shooting, don’t miss New York at Night, a guided Golden Hour adventure with incredible views and dynamic scenes.
Get Your Work Reviewed
One of the most valuable parts of Bild is the chance to get feedback. You can bring your work to Portfolio and Pitch Reviews, where experts will offer constructive critiques. These sessions are ideal for anyone serious about improving or building a creative career.
Unique Experiences to Remember
If you want to try something completely different, throw some shapes in the Bild Disco, a retro-themed photoshoot with flashy lighting and a vintage vibe. Or pose in the Bild Photo Booth, where professional gear helps you snap memorable, high-quality prints.
You can also step into a sports photography setup, complete with stadium lighting and props, and learn how the pros get those striking, high-impact portraits.
Ending with a View
The expo wraps up with a rooftop reception on the evening of June 18. It’s a chance to unwind, enjoy views of the city, and connect with other attendees.
