Photofocus is attending the Professional Photographers of America’s (PPA) yearly photography convention, Imaging USA. February 2-4, 2025 is the date and Dallas, Texas is the place for 3 days of everything photography. I’ll be there along with fellow Photofocus writer Kevin Ames reporting back from the trade show floor.

Become a PPA member to attend for free

If you are not already a PPA member you can ‘Join and Go.’ Here’s the deal: JOIN PPA AND ATTEND IMAGING USA FOR FREE! Join PPA for $28.42/month and get a full year of PPA benefits, PLUS an all-access pass to Imaging USA 2025 in Dallas, TX (regularly $469). There’s still time before the convention.

IUSA Trade Show

If you don’t become a member but will be in the area and want to attend the trade show, there’s no charge for that. That will give you a taste of what you are missing. The trade show floor will have a pile of photography vendors, from camera equipment to computer monitors and lots more in between. Check out the vendors scheduled to attend here.

Networking

One of the most valuable parts of attending a photography convention is networking with fellow photographers. You’ll learn an amazing amount. I’ll be posting another article on how to get the most out of attending a photography convention. I remember my first few conventions an at each subsequent one going, “Oh, I meant to do that!” or “I wanted to use that new album company or add some new business technique I heard about, This time, I mean it!”

Yours in Creative Photography,

Bob
