Gavin Heffernan is back with another timelapse journey. Dreamlapse Italia features a four-minute journey that continues his long exposure timelapse experimentation that he started in Japan, including the “street stacking” effect. Only this time, he included not just the traffic on busy streets, but also other crazy locations like the Venice Canals, with boats and actual stars streaking overhead.
Taken between November to December 2024, the trip features Rome and Venice, focusing on the fusion of modern metropolises and sites of ancient historical heritage. Locations include The Colosseum, The Roman Forum, Campo De’ Fiori, Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II, Rialto Bridge, St. Peter’s Square at The Vatican, San Giorgio Maggiore, and many more.
