Manfrotto Launches The Perfect Tripod for Hybrid Creators

With the boon of hybrid creators, many companies are looking to find a streamlined solution to meet their diverse needs. Manfrotto is one such company that is looking to cater to this need with the launch of its new tripod, the Manfrotto ONE Hybrid. Designed for photography and video creators, the tripod is said to be a “single, hybrid solution” for both. Let’s have a look at what it has to offer.

The Manfrotto ONE Hybrid tripod is only for mirrorless cameras and has been created using materials such as carbon fiber and aluminum. However, we’re pretty sure that a lightweight film camera would work just fine here too. Here is a look at some of its features:

Manfrotto ONE Hybrid Tripod
  • It features a versatile column at the center for multiple functions. For instance, the tripod plate can be tilted horizontally, which is best for overhead and flat-lay photography.
  • Users can fine-tune the horizon correction without changing the direction or repositioning the legs. This will be useful to users who want to shoot in uneven terrain.
  • The Manfrotto ONE Hybrid can also go extremely low without impacting the tripod’s leg positioning, which can help anyone save time. At the same time, one can extend the columns to capture a top-angle perspective.
  • There are new non-round legs that help to keep the tripod straight up, and also help in “torsional resistance” for panning in videos.

Manfrotto ONE Hybrid Tripod
  • Manfrotto uses a new mechanism, called XTend, which enables ONE Hybrid’s leg sections to be used simultaneously in a single action for quick setups.
  • There is also a quick-release system called XChange that allows one to change tripod heads, sliders, or other accessories in a single step without the use of additional tools.

When the Manfrotto ONE is used with the XChange 500X video head (sold separately), photographers and videographers can use it together without the need for different systems. This video head can take cameras up to 2.4kg, and with a hinged camera plate, one can easily change the orientations. Anyone interested in testing the device in person can do so by visiting the BiLD Expo at the Javits Center in New York on June 17–18.

On paper, the tripod does sound mildly exciting. It has various functions that will be liked by hybrid creators, especially those who travel frequently. With more people switching to hybrid content due to social media or the rise of video creation, Manfrotto has found a way to keep both worlds happy. Having tested other products from the company in the past, we are hopeful for the device. For instance, the Manfrotto BeFree Compact Travel Aluminum Alloy Tripod and the MeFOTO Roadtrip Leather Edition each performed really well in our review and were quite durable. But if you wish to see if the Manfrotto ONE achieves the same results, keep an eye out on our website for more.
