Lensbaby makes some exceptional lenses. The Lensbaby Trio 28mm f3.5 is one such lens that features an 8-inch close-focusing distance and has three optical effects: Twist, Velvet, and Sweet. The lens is a manual focus lens and has a 46mm filter thread. The lens is fun to use, compact, and offers great image quality. Meyer Optik Trioplan 100mm II
Anyone who wants a unique perspective of the things they are photographing much pick up this lens. The Meyer Optik Trioplan 100mm II has 15 aperture blades, a 0.9m close focusing distance, and a 52mm filter thread. The lens offers low contrast, sharp images, and exceptional bokeh. As we said, “This is the type of lens that will get so many photographers excited about shooting. Sony, we don’t care about your quibbles with onion bokeh. We want this! This is the character your lenses are lacking.”
Lensbaby Spark 2.0
The Lensbaby Spark 2.0 offers 12 aperture blades, a 46mm filter thread, a close distance focusing of 15 inches, and a fixed f2.5 aperture. The lens is exceptional; it has character, exceptional blur, is fun to use, and is also affordable. As we said in our review, “The Lensbaby Spark 2.0 is just dripping with character. The edge blur is fantastic for photographers aiming for a dream-like look, while the effect can easily become less dramatic by narrowing the aperture. The flexible barrel is both challenging and fun.” The only challenge is that it’s a manual lens.
Astrhori 12mm Fisheye
Rokinon has an exceptional 8mm fisheye lens, but it is not designed for mirrorless cameras. However, to fill its place, you have the Astrhori 12mm. The lens has a 185° ultra-wide angle of view, which gives you a unique perspective of everything. It also has a close focusing distance of 20cm and weighs 757.5g. The lens is really sharp at wide open apertures, smooth manual focusing, and an all-metal lens barrel and metal lens mount. All of this at an affordable price point.
Lensbaby 35mm f3.5 Edge and Composer Pro
One of the perfect lenses for creative photography, the Edge 35 features 8 aperture blades, a close focusing distance of 7 inches, and weighs just 10 oz. What makes the lens unique is its slice of focus, allowing photographers to blur out large parts of the area to give dreamy effects. The build is good, fun to use, and offers exceptional bokeh, but has color fringing and lens flare challenges. However, the latter only adds to the character of the lens, making the images stand out. As we said in our review, “The Lensbaby 35mm f3.5 Edge has both color fringing and issues with lens flare. And to be honest, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I adore the way the lens flare looks. I’ve always found it better to do this organically than be a YouTuber who tries to pass it off as organic while using a filter overlay (I hope you know who you are).”
