The year 2024 was quite exciting for camera enthusiasts. We saw exceptional launches from the big players, such as Sony, Canon, and Nikon, but also smaller manufacturers such as Pentax. There were some cameras that truly surprised us with their innovation and performance, but some also frustrated and enraged us. We do believe that you, dear readers, were equally divided on the matter. So, we have designed a poll, which will help us get a better idea of what you think. The results, in any case, will be shocking.

The poll looks at cameras that were quite popular amongst Gen Z, but also models that professionals were thrilled to receive. Through your top 3, we will get a better understanding of which cameras were first preferred by our readers, and even give us a clarity or what you may like for the future. For instance, someone may prefer the Sony a9 III first for its global shutter, while others may opt for Leica DLUX 8 the next time, thanks to its size.

The number of votes will help to showcase which camera brand won, what sensor format was loved by all, how premium brands compete in the market, and whether smaller cameras have the space in our industry. While Hasselblad is the only medium format camera on the list, a lot of photographers will not purchase it. The same goes for a Leica. Only those with specific needs, and a wallet that is thick, will opt for either.
However, there are chances for the results to surprise us to. Voting does not mean you have to own the camera. It just could be something you aspire you to get.
