Full-frame cameras are essential for many young users, particularly those seeking to upgrade from APS-C models for higher resolution. However, it can be challenging to find models that meet both the performance and price points. Here are some options we have that can help meet your needs. They are tested in real real-world environment, which means they can do well even today.
Sony A7 IV
The Sony A7 IV features a 33MP full-frame camera with 15 stops of dynamic range. The device offers soft skin effect, 5-axis image stabilization, 759 AF points, and can shoot 828 RAW+JPEG images. There is real-time eye tracking for subjects such as humans, animals, and birds. It can also record 4K 60fps. Some of the things the camera can do well include face detection and tracking, metering, and it is completely weather sealed. There is also fast and accurate autofocus, great dynamic range, and the images are really sharp. However, the portraits are not too sharp, and in-camera softening is just as incredible.
Nikon Z6 III
The Nikon Z6 III is another full-frame camera that features a 24.5MP partially-stacked CMOS sensor, EXPEED 7 image processor, and 3D Tracking AF. There is also Skin Softening for portraits, it can record 4K videos, and comes with a 170° vari-angle LCD. The device feels nice in your hands, and it is smaller than the Z8. The semi-stacked sensor is also a world first for fast readout speeds. The weather resistance is good, and the high ISO output is equally impressive. As we said in our review, “The Nikon Z6 III is for photographers who don’t want something as big as the Z8 or need as many megapixels. But they want almost the same level of performance. And I truly mean that.” The only challenge between the two is the autofocus; that is all.
Canon EOS R5

The Canon R5 is a spectacular full-frame camera from the company. It features a 45MP CMOS sensor, enabling the recording of 8K RAW videos and a burst rate of 12 frames per second. The device also features 5-axis image stabilisation, 1,053 manually selectable points, and a 5.67m-dot EVF with a 120fps refresh rate. The R5 features good image stabilization, a great menu system, and excellent detail. The device feels good in the hands, reliable, and it doesn’t overheat with short clips. The battery is excellent, and the high ISO RAW files also hold plenty of details. The dynamic range, colors, and sharpness of the images are just wonderful.
These full-frame cameras are excellent, offering plenty of detail and dynamic range. These cameras are great in their own way, and they will perform just as well even today.
