Hollyland has unveiled its latest wireless microphone set, the Lark M2S ($119-149). It’s compact and logo-free (yay!). Yhey’re designed designed to blend seamlessly with your attire while delivering outstanding audio performance.
Hollyland wants to cater to to a broad range of users with this one. Everything from videographers to online educators, vloggers, and live streamers.
Hollyland Lark M2S – Impressively small
The Lark M2S transmitters are impressively small, measuring just 1.3cm x 0.63cm and weighing only 7g. This makes them perfect for discreet placement, such as under a lapel or inside a shirt. While the scenarios in the above video are a bit silly, the titanium clip is designed to ensure a secure fit.
Battery anxiety also shouldn’t be an issue. Each transmitter offers nine hours of runtime, which can be extended up to 30 hours using the included charging case. The case itself features a new dial design for easy access to pairing, power, volume, and mute functions.
Versatility and Compatibility
The Hollyland Lark M2S doesn’t offer 32-bit float – or any internal recording at all. But at this price, can we really expect it to? What it does have, is 24-bit 48kHz digital transmission with a 70dB signal-to-noise ratio. The Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) feature helps to make sure your voice remains prominent even in noisy environments.
It transmits wireless using 2.4GHz frequencies. The company claims a usable range of up to 300 meters. Of course, this is in line of sight, with nothing between the transmitter and receiver. Real life is rarely this simple. Walls, equipment, and even the wearer’s body often come between the two. So, your mileage will vary.
The Hollyland Lark M2S is available in three versions. There are Combo, Mini Combo, and USB-C versions for different needs and setups. It’s compatible with the LarkSound app for fine-tuning audio settings, including noise reduction and volume control.
