TTArtisan Unveils a Retro, Fun Flash For Just $29!

Flash photography is quite an interesting genre in itself. From crisp portraits to colorful street images to events such as runway and concerts, a good flash can help you get the best of the moment in the nick of time. While there is a variety of flash to choose from today, companies such as TTArtisan are trying to make the design compact, playful, and less serious. How so? Well, with a design that makes it appear like a film roll!

According to Asobinet, TTArtisan has launched a film-roll-sized mini flash called M01. This is reported to be the company’s first flash, after the launch of LED lights of the same size and shape. In addition, the company has also announced a new trigger, J01. Here are the specifications:

The price of the flash is reported to be $29, while the trigger will cost another $10. The price is fairly cheap, and from the video released by the company on YouTube, the results do look pleasing.

The TTArtisan flash has a retro design, which will make it ideal for millennials and Gen Z who want a strobe that matches their film or other retro compact cameras. For instance, this will be ideal with the Fujifilm X100VI or the Nikon Zf. The video claims the flash is perfect for all kinds of shoots, from macro photography to street to portraits, due to the addition of the wireless trigger and the range of features. While we can’t comment on the performance, we are certain the TTArtisan flash is a perfect companion for anyone looking for a fun partner. Whether you are a beginner or a professional who wants to enjoy making images with flash, this would be your ideal option. The price tag is really minimal, ensuring that everyone gets their hands on it.

However, if you are looking for a more serious flash, you can look at offerings from Godox or Flashpoint. Their portfolio includes affordable options with more features. We have reviewed some of the products in the past, and the results were satisfactory.

TTArtisan M01 and J01 will both be available on Amazon soon.
