Compact cameras are back in fashion. Many casual users and Gen Z are opting for them, with many people choosing them for their ability to make distinct images. However, some people also choose one to have distinct aesthetics. For instance, people looking at older models such as the Powershot S95 or the Fujifilm Finepix 10. These devices are small, pocketable, and also offer distinct images. While there are many options from big manufacturers, Camp Snap, a company run by two individuals, offers some truly exciting compacts. To add to their growing portfolio, they have announced a new model, which is perfect for millennials, too!
Called CSPro, this Camp Snap model is an upgraded version of its classic design, which features no screen. This simple design is best for anyone who wants to compose an image in the moment, away from any distraction. The CSPro has a 16MP sensor and an improved processor for faster speed. When combined, this will ensure you get the best images in no time. There is also a new xenon flash, which means you will no longer rely on the LED to get the best shot. For the uninitiated, the xenon flash works like a real flash, and one can easily expose the scene of their choice without any challenges.

To make your images even more enticing, there is the option of a 4-filter selector dial. These allow users to switch between film-inspired effects instantly. So, while you are using a digital camera, you get pictures that resemble an analogue camera’s output. Of course, there is no live view screen and just a viewfinder, so you can compose scenes with ease, without any distractions.

The CSPro not only has design changes but is also quite durable and compact. It has a rechargeable USB-C battery and built-in memory, which can store up to 4GB of images and shoot 500 images per charge. Like the original Camp Snap model, the device lacks Wi-Fi and depends on other apps. You only get a USB to transfer your photos.
Design-wise, the CSPro appears like a classic rangefinder. However, a closer look reveals how much it resembles the Fujifilm X100 series. It has the same silver front and black leather. And it costs much less than a Fujifilm, at $99. The device offers some truly exciting features, and its minimal design is in line with what users want today. If you are someone who has been thinking of purchasing a compact camera, then do give this a try. As we said in our review of the original model, “With all that said, the Camp Snap Photo Camera is something that’s just different enough. I’m not sure that I’d use it over my film point-and-shoot cameras when I go partying. But I can totally see myself doing that when I go hang out during the daytime.”
