The X20 marks a major upgrade for the FlashQ system as the first TTL flash in its lineup. While retaining the small form factor of the previous Q20, the X20 introduces several enhancements — including TTL functionality, an intuitive round LCD display, and a bi-color LED video light with adjustable brightness and color temperature.

Since it is a TTL flash, it can be detached from the transmitter, allowing for off-camera shooting. There are also features such as Front and Rear Curtain Sync, Flash Exposure Compensation (FEC), and stable wireless TTL for ease of use. In addition, you also get bi-color LEF, which can be adjusted between 3000K to 5500K. You can also dim the brightness to 20% and achieve a high CRI of 90 for color accuracy.
LightPix Lab states that it is compatible with the FlashQ radio system and supports automatic channel selection and simple pairing. The X20 can also trigger up to eight additional manual flashes, such as Q20, Q20II, or FlashQ receivers. Through the transmitter, one can adjust flash power, EV compensation, and LED output for more control over your images.
The company states that the flash will be available from October 15. The flash is priced at $120, but the Fujifilm version costs just $99 due to an ongoing sale. This is not applicable to the Sony variant.
On paper, the FlashQ X20 is ideal for semi-professionals or content creators seeking a small and lightweight light source for their needs. But if you are a professional, you may want to look at other offerings from Godox or Profoto.
